New year. new challenge.

Well as the title suggests, it is a new year (though how you could've missed it I don't know!) and a new challenge.
First one this year is for Challenges 4 Everybody, using a wonderful Sassy Studio design. After having been forced into watching The Smurfs several times over during the Christmas period by my eldest Smurfette! I thought I may as well go for it and use the Smurfette image from Sassy Studios. As you can see I have done it in true Smurf colours, how could I not.

With the bold colours of the Smurf, it really needed equally bold colours in the background, the trick was getting the sentiment to shine through so I used white heat embossing powder. After I finished the card, I felt the Smurf seemed to just float in mid air, so added a piece of ribbon which turned out to like a bit of a catwalk, better than I imagined.
