Christmas in Blues & Purples

I've stepped slightly out of the box this week (no pun intended), I've made 4 christmas tree baubles and a presentation box. All the papers for the baubles and the box lid are from Festive Holibobs and have resized and recoloured in CAP2. The image is also from Festive Holibobs, printed out 5 times and decoupaged, she is also available as a clear stamp here. The baubles themselves took ages, particularly the flower baubale, whichiis made from 60 individual 3x3 cm paper peices and folded and glued together.

Digi Choosday Challenge 36 - Monochromatic

Oooo, lovely challenge this week on Digi Choosday

Monochromatic

I've always loved to colour in sepia tones, so the colour scheme on this was an obvious choice and I felt the Rose Budd Collection was perfect for this. I chose Charlotte for my image from the collection and all the papers are from it too. The image is coloured with Promarkers, the edges of the papers have been distressed with Hazelnut Adirondak and I finished the design of with a mix of pearls, lace, flowers and chipboard leaves.

Don't forget to join in at Digi Choosday and for even more inspiration, hop on over to the Polkadoodles blog too, where the Digi Queens will give you some wonderful inspiration.

Digi Choosday Challenge 35 - Travel/Holidays

For Digi Choosday this week the challenge is

Travel/Holidays

As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew which image I wanted to use, the Carriage from the Rose Budd Collection. The backing papers and the paper used for the flowers are also from there. I've used the flourishes from one of the new cutting files and resized them on the Silhouette. I haven't put a sentiment on, but it would be perfect for any little girl.

I've coloured the image with Promarkers and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Spun Sugar for the edge of the die cut.

Digi Choosday Challenge #34 - Blooms

Well I'm back after two weeks holiday. No crafting, not even a craft shop for the whole time, not happy! Flowers, flowers everywhere! This weeks theme for Digi Choosday is

Blooms

I have themed my card for a man, using the Gardener from Work & Play 2, as is the brick backing paper, which is made to look like a shed and the flowers are from there too. The image is coloured with Graph'Its.
For the construction, I have taken a 8x4 piece of Kraft card and folded it with a gatefold, covered with the brick paper for the main body of the shed. for the roof, I've taken a smaller piece of Kraft card and half covered it with some wood grain paper I found in Serif CAP2 and overlapped it at the top, to give the impression of the shed roof.

The sentiment on the interior is just genius

'We love our gardens so much we wet our plants'

I have loved this weeks theme, takes me back to my crafting roots! And I got to try getting the image on candles for the first time. Been meaning to try it for ages!

Shabby Chic

The main image on the candle box is from Emma Canning, Lemonade Sale and coloured with Graph'Its.The papers on the box and the images laid into the candle are all from Heavenly Garden on the Picknix Collection.
I think I've found my new favourite technique with the candles, I love it!
